Clinical Application

This instrument is designed for controlled curettage of superficial soft tissue. It is commonly used in dermatologic and minor surgical procedures for scraping and scooping lesions, debridement of granulation or hyperkeratotic tissue, and obtaining diagnostic specimens for biopsy. Design & Configuration

The concave ring (spoon) tip with a sharp peripheral cutting edge enables a scraping and scooping action that collects excised tissue into the hollow of the curette.
