Clinical Application
Designed to provide secure but gentle tissue control, this atraumatic clamp is used when temporary occlusion or handling of delicate soft tissues is required without crushing or fenestrating the tissue. Common procedural uses include isolation of bowel segments during resection and anastomosis, controlled tissue retraction in soft-tissue dissections, and temporary vessel or pedicle control where minimal endothelial or serosal trauma is essential.
Design & Configuration
The 22 cm overall length provides reach for work in deeper cavities while retaining tactile feedback at the handles. The Wylie Fig.2 jaw profile offers an atraumatic contact surface that distributes pressure to reduce localized tissue injury. Ring handles with a ratchet locking mechanism permit incremental, reliable closure and hands-free tissue maintenance once clamped, facilitating retraction and staged exposure during multi-step procedures.
