Clinical Application
Designed for controlled, partial occlusion of large blood vessels, this instrument provides side‑biting vascular control that allows continued flow distal to the clamp while isolating a segment for repair, anastomosis, or tumor resection. It is commonly used in vascular, hepatobiliary and urologic procedures where temporary partial occlusion of the inferior vena cava, aorta or major branch vessels is required.
Design & Configuration
The long 26.5 cm shank gives reach into deep or confined operative fields while keeping the surgeon's hands clear of the site. Broad, longitudinal occluding jaws distribute pressure across the vessel wall to reduce focal trauma and permit secure side‑biting occlusion. A positive ratchet lock and robust box‑lock provide adjustable, repeatable closure force, enabling precise control of blood flow during suturing or reconstruction.
