Clinical Application
This curved atraumatic vascular forceps is designed for controlled grasping and temporary occlusion of blood vessels where preservation of the intima and minimal tissue trauma are critical. Common applications include vascular anastomosis, graft preparation and control during bypass, endarterectomy, peripheral vascular repair, and other procedures requiring atraumatic vessel handling in confined or deep operative fields.
Design & Configuration
The curved geometry provides improved visualization and access around surrounding tissue and sutures, allowing the surgeon to reach vessels in deep or angled operative sites without excessive retraction. Atraumatic jaw surfaces distribute pressure to minimize vessel wall compression and reduce intimal injury during manipulation. The 31 cm length gives extended reach for thoracic, abdominal, or long-field peripheral cases while keeping the working tip well away from the operator’s hand for better control and visibility.
