Clinical Application
Designed for atraumatic occlusion and secure handling of small vessels and delicate tissues in neonatal and pediatric cases. Common uses include temporary vascular control during neonatal abdominal and thoracic procedures, umbilical vessel ligation, delicate soft-tissue dissections, and other procedures where reduced jaw profile and fine clamping pressure minimize tissue trauma.
Design & Configuration
The curved geometry provides an angulated approach to confined operative fields, improving line-of-sight and access around structures in small patients. The Fig. 9 pattern denotes a compact, pediatric-scale clamp profile: shorter overall length and narrower jaws than adult patterns to match neonatal anatomy. A fine, delicate jaw surface limits crush injury while the standard ring-handle and ratchet mechanism allow secure locking at controlled pressures for reliable hemostasis.
