Clinical Application
Designed for controlled, atraumatic dilation of blood vessels in vascular and endovascular procedures. The dilator is used to gently enlarge arteriotomy or venotomy sites, facilitate passage of catheters, introducer sheaths and grafts, and to assess or calibrate vessel lumens during peripheral, cardiac and dialysis-access procedures. Its small-diameter tip allows precise work in small or delicate vessels where minimizing intimal trauma is critical.
Design & Configuration
The tapered, single-ended geometry concentrates gradual radial expansion at the tip, providing predictable dilation while minimizing shear forces on the vessel wall. A smooth shaft and rounded, atraumatic tip reduce the risk of catching or tearing intima during advancement. The 19 cm length affords reach from superficial to moderately deep operative fields without sacrificing tactile feedback, making it suitable for both open and limited-access vascular work.
