Clinical Application

Designed for temporary control of large-caliber veins, this long-shaft vascular clamp provides atraumatic occlusion suitable for the inferior vena cava and major caval tributaries. It is used to establish bloodless fields during vascular repair, caval thrombectomy, tumor resection, transplant procedures and damage-control surgery following trauma. The atraumatic jaw geometry reduces the risk of intimal injury while maintaining secure vessel apposition for suturing or anastomosis.

The extended 21 cm length allows the surgeon to reach deep intrathoracic and intra-abdominal targets without excessive hand intrusion into the operative field. A slender shaft and low-profile jaw minimize obstruction of the surgical corridor. The DeBakey-style longitudinal serrations distribute pressure along the vessel surface to hold tissue securely while limiting focal crushing.
