Clinical Application
Designed to provide temporary occlusion of peripheral arteries and veins, this clamp is used to achieve proximal or distal vascular control during peripheral vascular procedures, vessel repair, bypass grafting, arteriovenous fistula creation, and trauma cases. The atraumatic jaw profile permits secure vessel occlusion while minimizing intimal crush injury, making it suitable for delicate handling of small- to medium-caliber peripheral vessels.
Design & Configuration
The instrument features a traditional ring-handle geometry with a ratchet locking mechanism and box-lock joint to deliver consistent clamping force and reliable retention once engaged. The 17 cm length provides moderate reach and improved access in extremity and superficial regional exposures without sacrificing tactile feedback at the tips. The atraumatic occluding jaw geometry is intended to distribute pressure across the vessel wall to reduce focal trauma during prolonged clamping.
