Clinical Application

Designed for controlled dilation of blood vessels and arteriotomy sites during vascular procedures. The 3.0 mm tip size enables gentle enlargement of the vessel lumen to accommodate cannulas, introducers or suturing techniques used in peripheral vascular surgery, arteriovenous access creation, and select cardiac bypass procedures. Surgeons commonly use this dilator to progressively size an arteriotomy, to facilitate passage of instruments, and to reduce resistance when introducing grafts or catheters.

The single-ended, tapered geometry provides a gradual increase in diameter from the tip to the shaft, permitting controlled dilation with minimal shear on the intima.
