Clinical Application
Designed for controlled dilation of small-caliber vessels and luminal entries, this dilator is used to establish or enlarge an access tract for guidewires, catheters or sutures during vascular procedures. Typical applications include peripheral and visceral vascular surgery, creation and management of arteriotomies, facilitation of microvascular anastomosis, and preparation of access sites for introducer sheaths in endovascular cases. The 1.0 mm tip diameter is intended for delicate work on small vessels where precise, incremental dilation is required.
Design & Configuration
The instrument's single-ended, tapered geometry provides a gradual increase in diameter from the tip along the shaft, allowing surgeons to dilate progressively with tactile feedback and minimal radial force. A smooth, atraumatic tip minimizes intimal disruption during entry and reduces the risk of vessel wall tearing. At 13 cm overall length, the shaft provides sufficient reach for most peripheral and central access points while remaining easily controlled in confined surgical fields.
Instrument Specifications
