Clinical Application
This clamp is designed to grip, tension and twist cerclage and fixation wire during orthopedic and thoracic procedures. It provides the surgeon a controlled method to apply and maintain tension while forming twists in single- or multi-strand stainless steel wire used for cerclage fixation, sternal closure and other trauma fixation techniques. The instrument facilitates secure wire manipulation when forming twists or knots and helps minimize slippage while the wire is being tightened.
Design & Configuration
The instrument features ring handles and a ratchet-style locking mechanism that permit the surgeon to lock the clamp under tension and maintain a consistent hold on the wire while twisting or cutting operations are completed. The extended 21 cm shank gives additional reach into deep or confined operative fields and provides mechanical advantage for twisting. The jaw geometry is optimized to concentrate grip on the wire without excessive deformation, allowing predictable twist formation and reliable tension transfer from the handle to the wire.
Instrument Specifications

Material & Construction
Manufactured from surgical-grade stainless steel for durability and repeated sterilization cycles. The construction supports routine decontamination, cleaning and sterilization procedures used in hospital and ambulatory surgical settings. Reusable design reduces instrument turnover and tray complexity for procedures that routinely require wire fixation tools.
Quality & Compliance
Manufactured by FDA-registered OEM facilities and produced under strict quality control standards.
Brand Comparison
Comparable in form and function to equivalent instruments offered by major US medical suppliers.
