Clinical Application

This double-ended curette is intended for controlled scraping and scooping of soft tissue and superficial lesions. It is useful where precise curettage is required to remove necrotic tissue, obtain diagnostic specimens, or debride localized areas. Typical procedural contexts include gynecologic and general surgical curettage, ENT and dermatologic lesion removal, wound bed preparation, and limited orthopedic or podiatric bone/soft-tissue scraping when a small, manually controlled instrument is appropriate.

Design & Configuration

The two-ended format provides immediate access to alternate working geometries without instrument exchange, improving procedural efficiency and reducing interruptions. The Figure 1 and Figure 2 tips are supplied on opposite ends to offer different working profiles (size or angulation), allowing the operator to choose the most appropriate tip contour for convex, concave or planar surfaces. The straight shaft and hand-contoured handle optimize tactile feedback and control during delicate curettage.
