Clinical Application
This right-facing bone curette is designed for controlled curettage and debridement of bone and adjacent soft tissue during surgical procedures. Common uses include removal of granulation tissue, curettage of cysts and lesions, shaping of bony surfaces, and access to confined cavities where precise scraping and scooping are required. The right orientation allows the surgeon to approach cortical and cancellous surfaces from the appropriate angle without excessive instrument rotation.
Design & Configuration
The instrument's right-facing (right) scoop geometry provides a lateral-facing working surface that facilitates controlled removal of bone when accessing sites from one side of the operative field. The Fig. 6 pattern denotes a specific scoop size and curvature that balances capacity and tactile feedback—enabling efficient collection of tissue while maintaining visibility of the cutting edge. The 16 cm shaft length offers extended reach into deeper wounds or narrow surgical corridors while preserving handling ergonomics at the surgeon's grip.
