Clinical Application
This left-oriented bone curette is designed for controlled scraping and debridement of bone and periosteal tissue. It is used to remove small bony prominences, debride osteophytes, prepare graft beds, and collect cancellous bone during orthopedic, ENT, and maxillofacial procedures where a left-facing scoop provides improved access and visualization.
Design & Configuration
The left-oriented (left-curved) geometry positions the Fig. 4 spoon/cup tip to approach anatomy from a left-sided trajectory, enabling ergonomic access to medial or lateral surfaces without excessive hand or wrist rotation. The Fig. 4 tip offers a defined cup for controlled bite and retention of material during scraping, which helps the surgeon modulate removal force and reduces chatter on cortical surfaces. The 16 cm length provides reach into deeper narrow fields while preserving tactile feedback.
