Clinical Application

This left-curved bone curette is designed for controlled scraping and scooping of bone and adherent soft tissue in confined or angulated anatomy. Common uses include debridement of necrotic bone, curettage of cysts or granulomas, shaping or contouring bone surfaces, and harvesting small amounts of cancellous bone. The left orientation facilitates access to left-sided cortical and cancellous surfaces within orthopedic, podiatric, hand, spine, and ENT procedures where a tangential approach is required.

Design & Configuration

The Figure 3 spoon-shaped tip provides a concave working surface for efficient removal of bone fragments and soft tissue while minimizing gouging. The left-curved configuration directs the cutting edge medially when used in the standard hand position, improving line-of-sight and ergonomics when working on left-sided or medial anatomic surfaces. The 16 cm overall length offers extended reach into deeper wounds or cavities while maintaining tactile feedback for controlled curettage.
