Clinical Application

Designed for controlled manual curettage of bone, this instrument is used to remove small fragments, debride devitalized cortical bone, and contour bony surfaces in confined operative fields. Its small scoop-style tip enables precise scraping and collection of bone material during procedures in orthopedic, otolaryngologic, oral/maxillofacial, neurosurgical and podiatric cases where delicate, tactile removal is required.

Design & Configuration

The concave, scoop-shaped tip concentrates the cutting edge to allow efficient scraping and controlled removal of bone while minimizing collateral soft-tissue trauma. A tapered, rigid shank provides access into narrow or deep cavities and resists flex under manual pressure for predictable tactile feedback.
