Clinical Application
This curette is designed for controlled manual bone curettage and debridement in confined surgical fields. It is used to remove necrotic or granulation tissue from bony surfaces, to scrape cancellous bone for preparation of fusion sites or implant beds, and to contour or smooth irregular bone margins during orthopedic, podiatric, oral/maxillofacial, ENT and select neurosurgical procedures. The Fig. 3 bowl offers a balance of surface area and tactile feedback suitable for small-to-moderate defects and cavities.
Design & Configuration
The straight shaft delivers direct access and axial control, while the spoon-shaped curette bowl concentrates the cutting rim to provide efficient scraping with precise tactile feedback. The medium-profile Fig. 3 bowl gives enough surface area to remove tissue efficiently without compromising visibility in narrow sites. The 16.5 cm length provides reach into deeper cavities while remaining manageable for one-handed manual technique.
