Clinical Application
Used for controlled elevation and reflection of periosteum and soft tissues from bone surfaces. The curved raspatory is indicated for subperiosteal dissection in procedures where access around contours is required—common in oral and maxillofacial surgery, otolaryngology, dental surgery and select orthopedic exposures. The 14 mm blade width provides a balance between blunt dissection and precise separation of soft tissue from underlying bone.
Design & Configuration
The curved (cvd) blade profile follows bony contours to facilitate atraumatic lifting of periosteum in concave and convex areas. A 20 cm overall length gives additional reach for deeper exposures while allowing the surgeon to maintain ergonomic control. The 14 mm blade width permits controlled, broad contact for efficient reflection without excessive tissue trauma. A fibre handle enhances tactile feedback and grip during delicate maneuvers.
