Clinical Application
Designed for precise bone incisions and controlled osteotomies, this mini Lambotte osteotome is used to cut and shape cortical bone, create osteotomy planes, and prepare bone grafts. The 8 mm blade width is suited to fine bone work in confined anatomy such as metacarpals, metatarsals, phalanges and small long-bone procedures, as well as reconstructive and trauma applications where a narrow, controlled cut is required. It is intended to be driven manually with mallet or applied with controlled hand pressure for incremental bone removal.
Design & Configuration
The compact 8 mm chisel blade concentrates force for clean, narrow cuts while minimizing unnecessary bone removal. A 17 cm overall length provides reach and tactile control, helping the surgeon maintain visibility and leverage in deeper or more constrained operative fields. The straight shaft geometry facilitates alignment with the desired osteotomy plane and efficient transmission of mallet strikes to the cutting edge for predictable bone separation.
