Clinical Application
Designed for final contouring and smoothing of cortical and cancellous bone, this Miller bone file is used to remove sharp edges, refine osteotomy margins, and shape bone grafts or implant beds. The instrument is suitable for general orthopedic procedures, trauma case finishing, maxillofacial and dental bone contouring, and ENT bone work where controlled rasping rather than aggressive cutting is required.
Design & Configuration
The double-ended (D/E) layout provides two complementary filing surfaces without changing instruments, reducing instrument exchanges during procedures. The regular-cut tooth pattern balances efficient material removal with tactile feedback for precise finishing. At 18 cm overall length the file offers reach into deeper surgical sites while preserving control and hand clearance; the tapered rasping surfaces permit access to convex and concave bone contours for uniform smoothing.
Instrument Specifications
- Instrument type: Bone file (Miller pattern, Fig. 11)
- Configuration: D/E (double-ended), regular-cut teeth
- Length: 18 cm overall
- Tip/jaw: Rectangular rasping surfaces for progressive smoothing
- Typical use: Contouring, de-burring, and finishing of bone after osteotomy or graft preparation
- Material: Surgical-grade stainless steel

Material & Construction
Manufactured from surgical-grade stainless steel chosen for corrosion resistance and durability needed in repeated reprocessing cycles. The rasping surfaces are machined to a regular-cut profile to provide consistent bite and predictable removal of bone without aggressive gouging. Constructed for repeated use and compatible with standard hospital sterilization methods.
Quality & Compliance
Manufactured by FDA-registered OEM facilities and produced under strict quality control standards.
Brand Comparison
Comparable in form and function to equivalent instruments offered by major US medical suppliers.
