Clinical Application

Provides controlled trimming and smoothing of cortical bone surfaces following sawing, osteotomy, or rongeur use. Used to remove sharp prominences, deburr cut edges, and refine contours prior to fixation or closure in orthopedic, trauma, hand/foot, oral-maxillofacial and ENT procedures. The regular-cut surface balances material removal with surface finish to prepare bone for plating, grafting or soft-tissue adaptation.

Design & Configuration

The double-ended (D/E) configuration offers two working surfaces in a single instrument, reducing instrument exchanges and improving efficiency in the field. At 18 cm overall length the instrument is designed to provide adequate reach while maintaining tactile control in both superficial and moderately deep operative sites. Regular-cut rasping surfaces produce predictable, incremental removal of cortical material for controlled contouring and smoothing.
