Clinical Application
Designed for controlled scraping and removal of soft tissue, granulation, debris or small lesions from confined anatomical spaces. The double-curette configuration provides two complementary cup sizes for atraumatic curettage and specimen collection, reducing the need to switch instruments during procedures. Typical applications include targeted curettage in ENT and mucosal procedures, minor gynecologic sampling and other surgical contexts where precise tissue removal is required.
Design & Configuration
The double-ended configuration places two Martini-pattern curette cups on a single shaft, providing immediate access to alternate cup sizes (Fig. 1/2) without instrument exchange. The 13.5 cm length balances working reach with tactile control, allowing access into shallow-to-moderate cavities while maintaining precise manual feedback. The Martini cup geometry offers a defined cutting/scooping rim that facilitates controlled shaving and specimen retention for pathology.
