Clinical Application
Designed for controlled scraping and removal of bone and soft tissue from confined anatomical spaces, this malleable curette is used in procedures that require delicate curettage of cortical and cancellous bone. Typical applications include orthopedics, trauma, hand and foot surgery, ENT and spinal procedures for removal of cysts or lesions, debridement of bony surfaces, and harvesting small amounts of cancellous bone for grafting.
Design & Configuration
The malleable shaft allows the surgeon or scrub tech to contour the instrument intraoperatively to access curved or deep cavities while maintaining tactile feedback at the tip. The Fig. 2 tip pattern provides a scooped profile intended for efficient scraping and controlled removal of bone without excessive gouging. The 21 cm overall length balances reach into deeper operative fields with control at the handle.
