Clinical Application
Designed for controlled removal and shaping of bone and adherent soft tissue in confined or angular operative sites. Common uses include curettage of small bony surfaces, smoothing of marginal bone, debridement of osteitic bone, and controlled harvesting or preparation of cancellous bone in orthopedic, ENT, spine, neurosurgical and reconstructive procedures where precise manual control is required.
Design & Configuration
The malleable shaft permits intraoperative contouring to achieve optimal approach angles in deep or awkward surgical corridors without changing instruments. At 21 cm length the shaft provides extended reach for working within cavities and around anatomical curves while preserving tactile feedback. The Fig. 1 spoon-shaped tip delivers a concave scraping surface for controlled curettage and removal of tissue with directional control, reducing the need for repeated instrument exchanges.
