Clinical Application

Design & Configuration

The leftward curvature aligns the working edge with the left-sided ribs and intercostal spaces, allowing the shaft to follow the contour of the bone and chest wall. The contoured periosteal blade is designed to slide along the bone periosteum to separate tissue with controlled leverage while minimizing soft-tissue trauma. At 17 cm overall length, the instrument provides reach suitable for smaller thoracic cavities while maintaining tactile control in confined spaces.
