Clinical Application

Designed for controlled bone curettage and debridement in confined surgical fields, this instrument is used to remove small bone fragments, smooth cortical edges and to harvest or shape bone during neurosurgical, otolaryngology (ENT), oral/maxillofacial and selected orthopedic procedures. The rounded spoon profile permits precise scraping and scooping motions while reducing the risk of inadvertent soft-tissue penetration.

Design & Configuration

The straight 17 cm shaft provides reach into deeper operative corridors while maintaining tactile feedback at the tip. The rounded spoon/cup geometry concentrates force at the cutting edge for efficient bone removal and offers a balance between material capture and fine control. The Fig.5 pattern represents a moderate-sized bowl optimized for precision work where larger curettes would be cumbersome and smaller curettes would be inefficient.
