Clinical Application
Designed for gynecologic procedures, this super-curved Rogers/Heaney forceps is used to grasp, compress and temporarily occlude uterine tissue, ligaments and vascular pedicles during hysterectomy and related pelvic surgeries. Its curve and atraumatic jaw profile facilitate secure capture of tissue in deep or confined operative fields, including transvaginal and open abdominal approaches, while minimizing crush injury to surrounding tissue.
Design & Configuration
The super-curved geometry allows the jaw tip to approach and encircle uterine vessels and broad ligament tissue from angles that are difficult to access with straight or mildly curved clamps. Atraumatic jaws provide a secure grip without penetrating tissue, reducing the risk of tearing fragile structures. Ratcheted ring handles enable controlled progressive closure and stable locking of the clamp while tying or applying ligatures.
