Clinical Application
Designed to provide reliable vessel control and tissue compression in open surgical procedures. The curved Pean hemostatic forceps is used to occlude medium-to-large vessels, grasp and stabilize soft tissue pedicles, and assist with blunt dissection in general surgery, trauma, gynecology, and other operative settings where dependable hemostasis is required. Its 24 cm length offers reach into deeper operative fields while maintaining tactile feedback for controlled clamping.
Design & Configuration
The curved geometry directs the jaws away from the operator’s line of sight to improve visibility and access in confined or deep cavities. Transverse serrations along the jaw provide broad surface contact for even compression of vessels and tissue, reducing slippage during tying or ligation. Ring handles with an indexed ratchet lock allow the instrument to maintain a secure hold at graduated pressures, enabling hands-free hemostasis and facilitating suture placement or subsequent dissection.
