Clinical Application
Designed to provide secure mechanical hemostasis, this straight Pean hemostatic forceps are used to clamp medium-to-large vessels and tissue pedicles during open surgical procedures. Common applications include general and abdominal surgery, gynecologic and obstetric procedures, and soft-tissue operations where a firm, atraumatic hold and reliable locking are required while ligatures are placed or cautery is prepared.
Design & Configuration
The straight geometry gives direct line-of-sight control for compressing vessels and tissue close to the operative field. Pean-style transverse serrations along the jaws deliver broad, even gripping surface to prevent slippage of tissue or hemostatic clips. Ring handles with a positive ratchet lock permit adjustable locking force and secure holding without continuous manual pressure, improving ergonomics during longer procedures.
