Clinical Application
Designed for secure temporary occlusion of the cystic duct and small biliary ducts during open biliary surgery, including cholecystectomy and other procedures requiring controlled ductal isolation. The instrument provides reliable clamping to permit safe dissection, flushing, testing, or ligation distal to the clamp and helps minimize bile leakage while preparing the duct for division or definitive closure.
Design & Configuration
The long shank and Fig. 2 geometry provide extended reach into the hepatocystic triangle while keeping the surgeon's hands clear of the operative field. Ring handles with a ratchet lock allow graduated, sustained closure pressure and tactile feedback for precise control of occlusion. The overall configuration is optimized to combine reach, visibility, and secure retention on delicate ductal tissue without requiring continuous manual compression.
Instrument Specifications
