Clinical Application
This set is intended for direct laryngoscopy and tracheal intubation in adult patients. The articulating distal tip improves glottic exposure with finer control of epiglottic elevation, which can reduce the need for excessive cervical extension and excessive lifting force. The fiber-optic illumination provides consistent distal lighting and reduces shadowing in the oropharynx, supporting clearer visualization in routine, emergency, and difficult-airway situations encountered in operating rooms, ambulatory surgery centers, and critical care settings. A three-blade set (#3, #4, #5) ensures appropriate sizing for a broad range of adult anatomies and facilitates fast selection during turnover.
Design & Configuration
The articulating (flexible) distal tip allows incremental adjustment of the blade's distal angle to lift the epiglottis and fine-tune line-of-sight to the vocal cords without aggressive forward or upward force on the larynx. The blade profile displaces the tongue and creates a working channel for passage of an endotracheal tube while the flexible tip refines the view. Integrated fiber-optic illumination routes light to the blade tip to deliver even, shadow-minimized lighting at the glottic inlet. The set format with consecutive adult sizes supports clinical workflow by reducing time spent searching for the correct blade during induction or emergency airway management.
