Clinical Application
Used to elevate and reflect periosteum and mucoperiosteal flaps and to perform controlled subperiosteal dissection. The narrow 6 mm working blade facilitates precise elevation in confined anatomic spaces such as interdental areas, extraction sockets, implant sites and delicate facial bone exposures. It is appropriate for oral and maxillofacial surgery, periodontal procedures, minor ENT and selected small-bone orthopedic tasks where careful tissue reflection is required.
Design & Configuration
The instrument combines a 6 mm working blade with a 19 cm overall length to balance reach and control. The narrow blade allows fine-tip access along bone contours and beneath soft tissue layers while reducing the risk of inadvertent tearing. The fibre handle provides a lightweight, non-slip grip that improves tactile feedback and reduces hand fatigue during extended procedures. A straight shaft length of 19 cm gives adequate reach for both intraoral and small-field extraoral approaches.
