Clinical Application
This double-ended Parker retractor is designed to provide controlled soft-tissue retraction and wound exposure in procedures that require a low-profile, versatile hand retractor. The 18 cm length gives adequate reach for superficial to moderately deep incisions commonly encountered in general, plastic, dermatologic and minor surgical procedures. It is used to hold wound edges, retract subcutaneous tissue and maintain a clear operative field for visualization and instrument access.
Design & Configuration
The D/E (double-ended) configuration offers two working ends on a single instrument, allowing the surgeon or assistant to select the most appropriate blade orientation without exchanging instruments. The slim, low-profile blade geometry minimizes bulk in the wound and reduces tissue compression while maintaining exposure. A single, balanced shaft length of 18 cm provides reach while preserving tactile control for fine retraction.
