Clinical Application
This olive-shaped tip is intended to provide a smooth, atraumatic leading surface for Nabatoff-style cannulae and suction instruments. The rounded profile reduces point pressure on soft tissues during probing, blunt dilation, placement or atraumatic manipulation of narrow lumens and cavities. It is useful wherever a blunt, non-cutting tip is preferred to minimize mucosal or soft-tissue trauma while maintaining lumen patency for suction or fluid exchange.
Design & Configuration
The olive geometry provides a continuous, rounded leading edge that disperses contact force and minimizes focal trauma during insertion or manipulation. A tapered transition from the shank to the olive head facilitates atraumatic passage through portals and aids controlled dilation when required. The detachable configuration allows the tip to be fitted to a compatible Nabatoff 6 mm cannula, enabling quick exchange, cleaning and reprocessing between cases.
Instrument Specifications
- Olive-shaped atraumatic tip profile
- Designed for Nabatoff pattern, 6 mm diameter
- Detachable accessory for use with compatible cannula or suction bodies
- Intended for atraumatic probing, blunt dilation, and as a smooth suction tip
- Reusable construction for routine sterilization and reprocessing
Material & Construction
Manufactured from surgical-grade stainless steel to provide corrosion resistance, durability and repeatable performance under standard sterilization cycles. The single-piece olive head and attachment shank are finished to a smooth profile to minimize tissue adhesion and to facilitate cleaning. Constructed for reusable clinical use.
