Clinical Application
Designed to provide secure temporary occlusion of the aorta and other large-caliber vessels during open vascular, cardiothoracic and trauma surgeries. The atraumatic jaw profile permits vessel control while minimizing focal pressure and intimal injury, making it suitable for proximal and distal control during aneurysm repair, vessel repair, graft anastomosis, or hemorrhage control.
Design & Configuration
The instrument features a ratcheting ring-handle configuration that allows single-operator locking and reliable sustained occlusion. The 23.5 cm overall length provides reach for mediastinal, retroperitoneal, or deep abdominal exposure while keeping the operator's hand well away from the field. Broad, atraumatic jaws distribute clamping force to reduce localized trauma to the vessel wall; the ratchet mechanism permits controlled incremental closure and secure holding during reconstruction or suture placement.
