Clinical Application

This Novak aspirating curette is designed for gynecologic diagnostic and therapeutic procedures where controlled endometrial or endocervical tissue sampling is required. The combination of a cutting/curetting edge with an internal lumen enables simultaneous mechanical sampling and suction-assisted tissue retrieval for endometrial biopsy, office-based endometrial sampling, diagnostic curettage, and evacuation of small retained products of conception.

The instrument features a narrow 4 mm diameter hollow shaft and a ring-shaped curette tip that allow the clinician to perform focused scraping while aspirating tissue through the lumen.
