Clinical Application
Designed to provide reliable vascular control and atraumatic tissue handling in open surgical procedures. Commonly used to clamp and occlude medium-to-large arteries and vascular pedicles for hemostasis during general, vascular, gynecologic and thoracic surgeries. The straight configuration supports controlled alignment of the jaws on a vessel, permitting secure closure and maintenance of hemostasis while preparing for ligation or cautery.
Design & Configuration
The straight geometry and 14.5 cm length balance reach and tactile control, making the instrument useful in both superficial and deeper operative fields without excessive shaft length. A precision box-lock hinge with an integrated ratchet lock provides reproducible jaw apposition and sustained clamping pressure. Longitudinal serrations on the jaw faces increase grip on vessels and fibrous tissue while minimizing slippage during tying or transection.
