Clinical Application
Designed for controlled blunt curettage, this double-ended instrument is used to remove soft tissue, granulation tissue, necrotic material, or small lesions from confined surgical sites. Typical applications include ENT procedures (canal and middle ear debridement), dermatologic excisions, gynecologic curettage of superficial tissue, oral/maxillofacial procedures, and general minor surgical debridement where a non-cutting scraping action is required.
Design & Configuration
The double-ended configuration provides two working surfaces without the need to change instruments during a procedure, improving efficiency in confined anatomy. Blunt curette tips permit effective scraping and scooping of tissue while reducing the risk of inadvertent perforation compared with sharp curettes. At 17 cm overall length, the shaft offers moderate reach for access to deeper cavity margins while retaining tactile feedback and control for fine tissue work.
