Clinical Application

This double-ended cross-cut bone file is used to contour, smooth and deburr cortical bone surfaces during open procedures. It is indicated for refinement of bone edges after osteotomy or fracture reduction, removal of small osteophytes, smoothing of implant seating surfaces and general bone surface preparation in orthopedics, trauma, hand surgery, ENT, oral/maxillofacial and podiatric cases. The cross-cut surface provides efficient material removal while helping to reduce chattering and undue gouging.

Design & Configuration

A D/E (double-ended) layout delivers two working ends to extend usable service between sterilization cycles and to offer access at different angles without changing instruments. The cross-cut tooth pattern produces bi-directional rasping action, allowing the surgeon to file in either push or pull strokes with consistent bite. The 18 cm overall length provides reach for deeper wound exposure while maintaining tactile feedback for controlled contouring.
