Clinical Application
Metzenbaum Nelson scissors with curved, sharp/sharp blades are intended for precise dissection and cutting of delicate soft tissues. Their fine curved tips are commonly used for sharp dissections where controlled, low-trauma cutting is required—examples include soft-tissue work in general surgery, plastic and reconstructive procedures, ENT, and gynecologic cases. They are not intended for cutting heavy materials such as wire or dense connective tissue.
Design & Configuration
The curved blade geometry improves visualization of the dissection plane and follows tissue contours, allowing controlled cutting along curved or confined anatomy. The sharp/sharp blade configuration provides reliable, clean incisions for precise tissue separation. The 23 cm length offers increased reach in deeper cavities while maintaining a favorable shank-to-blade ratio for tactile control and fine tip maneuvering.
