Clinical Application
Designed to provide secure temporary occlusion of intestinal segments during open abdominal procedures. Commonly used for control of the bowel lumen during resections, anastomoses, stoma formation and whenever controlled isolation of a bowel segment is required to minimize spillage and contamination.
Design & Configuration
The curved geometry follows the natural contour of intestinal loops, improving access and visibility in confined operative fields and deep abdominal cavities. Broad occluding jaws distribute compressive force across the bowel wall to reduce point pressure and tissue trauma while maintaining an effective seal. A locking ratchet provides incremental closure and secure fixation during suturing or stapling steps.
