Clinical Application
Designed for atraumatic occlusion of the intestinal lumen during open abdominal and gastrointestinal procedures. Provides secure temporary control of small or large bowel during resections, anastomoses, enterotomies and other intra-abdominal work where containment of luminal contents and bloodless field are required. Its geometry supports controlled clamping with minimal focal crushing of bowel wall when used properly.
Design & Configuration
The curved configuration gives improved access to deep pelvic and retroperitoneal fields and allows the jaws to follow bowel contours for even pressure distribution. At 21 cm overall length it provides reach for intra-abdominal exposure without excess shaft length that can impede handling. Broad, occluding jaws reduce point pressure on tissue, and a ratchet-style locking handle (standard on this clamp pattern) enables secure, adjustable closure to maintain consistent occlusion during operative steps.
