Clinical Application
This angulated suction tube is intended for targeted aspiration of blood, secretions and debris from the oropharynx, hypopharynx and proximal trachea under direct laryngoscopic visualization. It is commonly used during induction and emergence from anesthesia, endotracheal intubation, and a range of ENT and head & neck procedures where precise control of suctioning is required without excessive bulk in the oral cavity.
Design & Configuration
The angulated Magill profile follows the natural curvature of the oropharynx, allowing the tip to be positioned easily under direct vision with minimal manipulation. The 1.5 mm internal diameter provides a focused lumen for controlled aspiration of thin secretions and fluids, while the 3.5 mm outer diameter maintains a low-profile shaft for maneuvering in confined oral and pharyngeal spaces. At 24.5 cm overall length, the tube reaches distal oropharyngeal targets while permitting a comfortable working distance for the operator.
