Clinical Application
Designed for secure airway access and positive-pressure ventilation, this Luer-equipped tracheal tube provides a defined lumen for endotracheal intubation, controlled ventilation, and intraoperative airway management. The 9 mm internal diameter accommodates higher tidal volumes and lower airway resistance compared with smaller sizes, making it appropriate when a larger-bore tube is indicated for effective ventilation or suctioning.
Design & Configuration
The Luer connection on the proximal end enables a quick, standardized connection to breathing circuits, manual resuscitators, and inline suction or monitoring devices. The Fig.5 model designation identifies the manufacturer’s pattern and geometry; the tube’s internal bore and connector configuration are optimized to minimize flow resistance and permit efficient suctioning and end-tidal gas sampling when used with compatible adapters.
