Clinical Application

Designed for otologic and general ENT use where controlled, atraumatic engagement of canal or auricular soft tissue is required. The buttoned hook provides a blunt contact surface for gentle retraction and traction of the external auditory canal, auricular flaps, and soft-tissue edges during procedures such as canal inspection, microsurgical work through the speculum, removal of superficial foreign bodies, packing placement, and graft positioning. The 14 cm length provides reach to the surgical field while allowing room for operating microscope or endoscope access.

Design & Configuration

The instrument's hooked geometry affords precise point control for engaging small soft-tissue structures and manipulation around the curvature of the canal. The buttoned (rounded) tip minimizes focal pressure and reduces the risk of tissue tearing or perforation when applying traction.
