Clinical Application
Designed for controlled excision and trimming of intranasal soft tissue and cartilage, this instrument is used during septoplasty, turbinate reduction, rhinoplasty and other endonasal procedures. The cutting jaws allow surgeons to remove small segments of mucosa or cartilage with tactile feedback and precise bite control, facilitating tissue contouring in confined nasal cavities and reducing the need for repeated instrument exchanges.
Design & Configuration
The figure-2 configuration provides a clinical geometry suited to access the narrow spaces of the nasal vault and anterior septum while maintaining an intuitive jaw orientation for cutting. The forceps-style handles permit one-handed manipulation and controlled closure force for bite accuracy. At 19 cm total length, the shaft offers extended reach into the nasal cavity, enabling posterior access without sacrificing control at the tip.
