Clinical Application
A precision bone curette engineered for controlled scraping, scooping and debridement of cortical and cancellous bone in confined surgical sites. Commonly used for delicate bone work in neurosurgery, otologic/ENT (mastoid and middle ear), oral and maxillofacial procedures, and select spinal or hand cases where a small, precise curette is required to remove bone fragments, thin cortical bone or soft tissue from bone surfaces.
Design & Configuration
The straight, 21.5 cm shaft provides reach into narrow operative corridors while maintaining tactile feedback and control. The Fig. 00 tip is a small, spoon-shaped (cup) curette designed to engage and remove bone with minimal collateral tissue disruption; its geometry facilitates controlled shaving and scooping motions and is suited for precision work in small cavities. The shaft length balances access and leverage for fine manual control.
