Clinical Application
Designed for indirect laryngoscopy and upper aerodigestive tract examinations, this 22 mm mirror provides a clear view of the oropharynx, hypopharynx and vocal folds when used with a bright external light source. It is commonly used in ENT clinics, pre‑operative airway assessments, voice clinics and outpatient diagnostic exams to evaluate mucosal lesions, vocal cord mobility, and airway patency without direct endoscopy.
Design & Configuration
A 22 mm mirror offers a balance between sufficient field of view and patient comfort for routine indirect visualization. The Fig.6 pattern denotes a commonly used head geometry and angulation that facilitates midline access and visibility of the laryngeal inlet when positioned on the tongue base. Supplied without handle, the mirror head is compatible with standard detachable handles or disposable holders, allowing flexibility for clinic workflows and sterilization protocols.
