Clinical Application
Designed for otolaryngology use, this instrument provides controlled retraction of the anterior nasal vestibule to improve visualization of the septum, inferior and middle turbinates, and nasal floor. It is suited for diagnostic nasal exams, foreign body removal, anterior epistaxis management, and assisting exposure during minor procedures such as septal inspection and office-based endonasal interventions.
Design & Configuration
The Killian pattern features opposing nasal blades sized to open the anterior nasal aperture while minimizing tissue trauma. The S/J configuration with a side-mounted screw permits the operator to set and lock the desired blade aperture for stable, hands-free retraction when required. The overall length supports comfortable handling and adequate reach for anterior intranasal work without excessive shaft length.
