Clinical Application
Designed for atraumatic probing and exploration, this ball-tipped probe is used to identify, traverse and gently dilate narrow lumens and tracts. Typical applications include lacrimal system probing and syringing in ophthalmology, atraumatic exploration of fistulae or sinus tracts, and controlled tactile assessment of confined cavities in ENT and general surgical procedures. The rounded button tip minimizes mucosal trauma and reduces the risk of perforation while allowing the surgeon to maintain tactile feedback.
Design & Configuration
The rounded (button) tip provides a blunt, atraumatic endpoint that slides smoothly through delicate tissues and small ducts without catching. The single-ended, slender shaft preserves tactile sensitivity so the operator can feel resistance changes and locate obstructions or anatomical transitions. At 19 cm overall length the instrument gives additional reach for deeper passages and intranasal or orbital approaches where a longer working length is required.

Material & Construction
Manufactured from surgical-grade stainless steel to provide a balance of rigidity and tactile feedback while resisting corrosion under standard reprocessing. The smooth, mirror-polished shaft and rounded tip facilitate atraumatic passage and simplify cleaning between uses. Constructed for repeated sterilization cycles and clinical handling.
Quality & Compliance
